Have your say on cost of living pressures

Friday 29 January 2016

The Victorian Liberal-National Coalition recently launched CostWatch, an initiative to hear directly from the community about cost of living pressures they face.

Member for Morwell Russell Northe said the project’s aim was to uncover cost-of-living issues; get households and businesses talking; and most importantly use people power to reduce unnecessary costs.

“The Andrews Labor Government keeps promising to ease the cost of living pressures, but empty promises equal empty wallets,” Mr Northe said.

“Costwatch is committed to driving costs down and making your dollar stretch further – but we need your help.”

Member for Eastern Victoria Region, Melina Bath said there was no question that living pressures were taking their toll on Gippsland households and families.

“Whether it is utility bills, transport, or health costs, the cost of living is rising sharply and it is time to take action,” Ms Bath said.

The Liberal National Coalition wants to hear directly from Victorians and over the coming months they will take the CostWatch initiative around the State.
