The Nationals’ Member for Eastern Victoria, Melina Bath is encouraging young farmers to apply for the 2025 Young Farmer Upskill and Invest Scholarship.
The program offers scholarships of up to $10,000 for early-career farmers aged 18 to 40, with up to $5000 available for education or training, and an additional $5000 to invest directly into their farm business.
Ms Bath said the program supported the development of practical skills in areas such as agronomy, land management, irrigation, and business operations.
“This program is a fantastic opportunity for young people in eastern Victoria who are committed to building a future in agriculture and strengthening our rural communities.
“Scholarship recipients can apply their training to on-farm improvements involving planning, new technologies, professional development, and equipment to help drive innovation.
“Applications are open to young farmers who have been working in a farm business for at least three days a week over the past three months and have at least two years of on-farm experience.”
Ms Bath encourages interested applicants to visit vic.gov.au/youngfarmers for further information.
Applications close on July 23.
