As we approach the festive season and the end of another year, I want to express my heartfelt thanks for the role you play in making our region such a wonderful place to live, work and visit.
Our towns are busy with seasonal cheer and it’s fantastic to see local small businesses bustling with activity as people shop, dine and socialise.
Christmas is a special time for many of us to reconnect with family, friends and neighbours, sharing in the spirit of community.
Despite ongoing cost of living pressures, the generosity across our region has been nothing short of inspiring.
Donations of toys, clothing and food hampers have brought hope and relief to those doing it tough. To everyone who has contributed – thank you for your kindness and compassion.
I’m optimistic about our region’s future and the individuals and families who make our communities so strong.
This year marks my tenth year serving in State Parliament – an honour I never take for granted.
I will continue to stand up for eastern Victoria, ensuring our voices are heard and striving to deliver the support and investment our region needs to thrive.
As holidaymakers head to our beautiful coastal towns or explore our landscapes, please take care on the roads. Drive to the conditions, be patient and stay safe.
Whichever way you choose to celebrate the holiday period, I hope it is filled with laughter, love and cherished moments with those who matter most.
Wishing you a healthy, happy and wonderful start to 2026.
