Kevin Tolhurst Members Statement

Melina BATH (Eastern Victoria) (09:42): I would also like to share with the house the sad passing of forest scientist and associate professor Kevin Tolhurst on 5 October, doing what he loved so much: speaking about the importance of bushfire behaviour, prescribed burns, guidelines, ecological management of landscape, bushfire risk management and the ecological impacts of fire up at Mallacoota with a team of devoted people. Kevin’s passing is a huge loss not only to his loved ones and to regional Victorians but to those who care deeply about our public forest estate and its natural inhabitants. Vale, Kevin Tolhurst.
