The bridge’s structural integrity, and limited information being provided to residents while investigations are undertaken have been a topic of concern to my office.
On behalf of local residents, I am seeking answers from the Allan Labor Government on past engineering inspections, maintenance of the bridge and a proposed timeline of upgrade works – locals deserve to know its status.
Phillip Island is home to thriving a community and some of Victoria’s premier tourist attractions – the bridge’s structural integrity and the safe passage of locals and visitors must be a priority.”
